Desna Lands

The group were headed out of the tribes land and going towards Desna pack lands. They had decided to go exploring once again, it was something that they had been doing lately. As per usual Aidan and Jonah were riding the sibling van gogh’s Rhydan and Rome, they were leading the way from the tribe to the pack lands. Delsin was next on his van gogh half mane Raiva, the two were having fun and running off to look at things before returning to the group. Lea and Damien were in the back, the two becoming sort of friends, at least to Lea they were becoming friends. Lea was riding Monet, the female van gogh was Aidan’s but she had asked to borrow the dominant Tokota even though she was grumpy girl. Monet hadn’t been brought on a trip lately so Lea decided to ride her for the day. Damien was on his curly piebald merle Astros, the male was new to the whole exploring and was still learning. He seemed to be doing well with his calmer demeanor, that is until they get back to tribe as once they arrive back home he is running around and pouncing on other Tokotas like a puppy.

The black merle Ammon was following them as usual, he seemed to like to stalk the group as they went out exploring. He didn’t seem to care if he was caught or not and kept following them until they went back to the tribe. It was like a family outing, Monet being the mother of all the Tokotas that were along on the journey, except for Ammon.

There was no game plan once for this adventure, they were just going to head out to Desna lands and find start searching through anything and everything. On the way to the treacherous domain Delsin was talking everyone’s ears off as he usually did. He was in a good mood today and was smiling and laughing, Lea had seen Damien almost say something but she got his attention before he could and gave him a look as if to say not to spoil Delsin’s mood. Damien grudgingly kept his mouth shut, his mouth turning into a frown.

Delsin wasn’t the only one in a good mood, his Tokota, Raiva, seemed to also be enlightened and wanted to play. The van gogh half mane started to run around with Delsin laughing maniacally on her back, she ran up to her mother, Monet and barked at the older female. Monet’s eyes turned to slits then she growled a warning to her daughter, she didn’t want to play, she never wanted to play and this was her warning to her daughter who knew better. Lea gave Monet a pat on the side, the female gave a grumpy huff, already tired of everyone bothering her. Raiva just let out another playful bark then ran over to Astros and Damien. Astros hadn’t been in a playful before, but now that Raiva was going around like crazy he was getting excited. Damien reined him in and strictly told Delsin to do the same with his Tokota, though of course the boy didn’t listen and just reined Raiva towards her half siblings at the front.

With Raiva bounding around Rome and Rhydan, and Rhydan growling and snapping at her half sibling, it took longer to make it to Desna pack lands. Once they arrived the group steered clear of the more mountainous area, even the all the land was dangerous the mountains were more so. Jonah and Rome were leading the way, he had been in Desna the most out of all of them, the man was still going out there trying to tame the wild dires that roamed the area. Jonah knew the area pretty well and said he was going to lead them to the forested area. They hadn’t checked out that area yet so that was what was next on the agenda, the whole territory was huge and they would never be able to fully explore it but it was nice for them to get a change of scenery and explore different places.

The trees soon came into view and the group stopped once the trees started to get more and more condensed. Jonah brought Rome to a halt and dismounted so that he could search on foot, the others followed soon after. Once Delsin was off of Raiva’s back, the female began to bound around the group once again. It didn’t take long for Astros to also get wound up and start chasing the half mane around, the two were practically running laps around the handlers who were trying to explore the in the brush and trees.

Rome was more hesitant to move first through the forest, after getting stuck in one of the traps that were set up in the forest he hadn’t wanted to go back and was now even more wary of the dense forest. Rhydan, however, was braver than her brother and went into the trees without hesitation, though with her leading Rome trailed after.

Monet had wondered off a little ways, she was trying to find a spot close to the handlers but far away enough that they couldn’t see that she was sleeping. Her children were making her head hurt and she needed a break from the younger Tokotas, the only one she could stand to be around was Ammon who was walking around the forest by himself. The black merle was weaving in and out of trees, sometimes accidentally scaring Delsin as the Tokota was very good at making no sound whatsoever.

Astros had finally had enough of running around with Raiva and went back over to Damien. The curly piebald merle started to follow his handler around in the woods and looking at everything that Damien did once the man was done and had started to move on. Raiva kept running around, almost running into Delsin a couple of times trying to get the boy to play with her.

Lea had found a few rocks that Delsin was able to look through to add to his rock collection, the boy was obsessed. Jonah and Aidan were roaming around the forest, they would both disappear by going deeper into the woods to explore. Everyone found something that they thought was cool or interesting, but the wooded area was huge and they didn’t make it terribly far before they decided to head back home.

It took a little while to find every as the group had spread out to explore by themselves and in their own way. Lea had found Monet fast asleep, she had gotten up and moved a couple of times. Lea had seen her looking around a couple of times although she might have just been looking for a good place to sleep. The woman then gently woke up the female since she knew how grumpy the Tokota could be when she was woken from her slumber. Delsin had to chase Raiva in order to catch her, the half mane still wanting to play, none of the other handlers would help him so it took a while for him to finally be able to mount her. Rome and Rhydan had disappeared so the group had to call to them and after a while they appeared.

Once everyone was ready they started the journey back home. Damien turned around in his seat to look for the familiar black merle and finally spotted him a ways behind them. Ammon was just now headed out of the forest after, his head held low and eyes the forever blank stare. Everyone had their treasures with them as they headed back to the tribe ready to show off what they had found.
